3 Years of Blogging & a New Initiative

3 years ago, on this date, I was on google searching for ways I can share the content I can write; a medium through which I can get my voice heard by lots of people; a platform where I could benefit other people by my knowledge. That was the first time I got to know that it’s free for a person to have a blog and maintain it. I searched, how to make a blog. And, being a Google fanboy, I made my first blog on Blogger. I was infrequent in posting, once or twice in a week. I was also reluctant to post, unaware of the reaction I’ll get, so I never posted any article or poem I wrote, which was remotely personal to me.

I kept posting, sharing on all Social Media apps, told everyone to follow it, but alas, even after 2.5 years, I had absolute zero blog interactions. There were views, yes, but no likes or comments or followers.

That’s when I decided that I’m going to shift my block. And, on 3rd January 2019, I imported all my content here, but to WordPress. Since, it has been around 3.5 months, and thanks to all my readers, I stand at more than 100 followers (WordPress + Email)!

So, today I’m here to share few things with you. First and foremost, my blog now has a logo, designed by my beautiful friend Kanika Agarwal (Connect with her on Instagram @kanika61201)

Second, I now have a Facebook Page for my blog, which you can visit and follow here.

Now comes my favorite announcement of the day.

Before I had a blog, there were a lot of stuff that I wanted to share with an audience, but alas I never had one. It was the driving reason for me to start a blog. But, one can’t just start a blog and wait for magic to happen to get an audience. One has to work, put time and maintain it to reach at a position where they feel that they have an audience big enough that they can share the piece of writing that they started blogging for. Sometimes, people even have a small number of writings they want to share, and not enough in order to maintain a blog.

Hence, I decided to help out my friends here. In the upcoming weeks, I’m going to add few of my friends as contributors here on my blog, and provide them with an audience, regardless small, to share their ideas. And, I’m pretty sure that my readers here are going to love their content!

These articles will be about something that is not my area of expertise. While I will also keep posting my content as I do, I hope these posts offer something new to you all to read!

The first post under this series of Guest Posts, if you can call it that, is due tomorrow! Stay tuned for a Guide to Learning Sarcasm by Yashvardhan Jagnani.
