When asked to speak on ‘If you weren’t born yet.’ during the 2nd Annual Global Citizenship Education Workshop for Educators, assigned by Dr. Ashok Pandey, Principal, Ahlcon International School, Chairperson, Council of Global Citizenship Foundation, she came up with this poem on the spot!
Mrs. Sunita Rajiv was my english teacher back in 2012, and since then, a second mother. She’s the one who gave me the confidence to have this blog up & running. She’s also the one who helped bring out the writer within me.
I was the Social Media Volunteer for that workshop, which turned out to be a great learning experience for me! Details:
Give me a world which has just these-
Bread ‘n butter and sometimes cheese!
A roof over my head which no one takes,
Love prevails and compassion makes
bonds, that cement hearts together
to love and let live-like sisters and brothers.
No hate exists in minds or books
We value others views and outlook.
No fear looms like dark grey clouds
No life is lost in violent bouts.
War or strife don’t exist
Truth is not concealed in mist.
Such a world is not a Utopian thought
If we be HUMANE , it can be brought!
